1. Why I see ships on DS, when there's nobody in local - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
If you take a set of combat scanner probes and a mobile depot with you, you *might* be able to steal one or mess with the fittings. If it's not in a (powered!) pos. Flharfh Lhar wrote: They've purchased CCP's newest service, the don't-show-in-...

3. Low Amount of Sites in Lowsec - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Most lowsec systems are going to be one of two things: Full of sites and pirates. -or- Stripped of sites and empty. One which isn't one or the other is valuable.

4. How do Auto-Targeting Modules work? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
They might be interesting for PvE, but you will usually want the slot for things like nos (solo) or remote cap rechargers/shield boosters (group). I do make them in small batches, and they do sell. Slowly.

6. Find lost drones? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Scanning down even T1 drones is worth it because you learn how to use the combat probes on something that won't warp off and/or cloak up. If you're in a system where MTUs attract attention, a T1 exploration frigate is a better choice than a destr...

7. Venture Mining Frigate got Destroyed - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
There's always the nullbear rule of "Neutrals in local, everybody dock!" There are lowsec systems quiet enough where that rule won't make you dock constantly.

9. Question about skills and gear - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Shinier gear is a liability after a certain point. It may be 10% more powerful than the thing below it, but it can be taken away from you if someone thinks it's worth it. The cruisers that use guns are usually bonused for medium guns. Long-range...

10. Training The Right Skills - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I never used a covops cloak in wormhole space. I died a few times there, but that wasn't what got me killed. People don't usually gatecamp wormholes to backwater systems.

11. Traning ships to Level V - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Or point the mouse at it in ISIS (Ship Tree) and the infotip will say what the bonus is. Because of the way ROF works, it's -5% to weapon cycle time on hulls (or -4% on Rapid Firing, or -2% on Gunnery), and the curve isn't quite linear. Same with...
